ABOUT REBECCA MASON

In August 2018 I will graduate from BYU with a major in English and a minor in editing. I’m a freelance editor that specializes in copyediting your legal, business, and personal documents to prepare them for publishing. I have worked in multiple customer service jobs, and I understand the importance of pleasing clients through clear communication. I want to make your life easier by helping you produce quality, professional, and intelligent documents that will strengthen your business. My passion for detail, precision, and professionalism makes me the perfect candidate to help you with your documents!

 

I enjoy reading just about anything, but memoirs and how-to and information books make me especially happy. I am a recovering perfectionist and try to live life the best I can, without constantly expecting perfection from myself.

 

Some of my favorite projects as a student at BYU were working as a volunteer editor at Criterion: A Journal of Literary Criticism, creating an interactive map for the Wilkinson Center, and designing and publishing a thick book full of emails sent between myself and my parents when I served 18 months as a missionary for the LDS Church. I love writing and editing, but most importantly I enjoy helping others create beautiful manuscripts and projects. 

 

When I am not writing or editing, I am making and eating food. I love food. I believe that food isn’t just meant to nourish us but is also a source of entertainment and comfort. I enjoy regularly making delicious things and trying new dishes. In addition to my love of food, I have a deep love for animals and the outdoors. This love for animals and the outdoors perhaps comes from growing up in Payson, Utah on a tiny little farm with a handful of dogs, cats, horses, and chickens. (enjoy just about any time spent outdoors in the rain, sun, or snow and especially love hiking, running, and riding horses.
